what is the governance standard?

The Governance Standard is based on a set of ten indicators that will enable your organisation to measure how well governance is functioning.

The indicators are separated into two levels of activity:

Level One assesses whether or not you have the right governance design in place for your organisation.

Level Two asks you to provide evidence that your governance practices are working effectively.

An independent board of governance experts will assess your evidence against the indicators, and upon successful completion you will be awarded the Governance Standard.

There is no prescribed formula for achieving accreditation in the Governance Standard.

The Centre for Partnership recognises that all organisations are different and that there is more than one route to effective governance.

The Governance Standard will help you develop innovative, intelligent and workable improvements to the way governance operates in your organisation.

The Governance Standard will enable you to feel confident that you are following best practice in governance.

The Governance Standard will enable you to build positive and lasting changes in your organisational culture.
