The GEM Programme
GEM stands for Graduate Employment Mentoring Programme
Since 2009 we have been recruiting GEMs who can demonstrate they have the passion and values which align with the housing sector. Our partners provide a minimum of a 12 month work place role within their organisations, as well this you will be part of a cohort of GEMs that meet throughout the year.
GEMs are offered a truly unique experience when they join the programme. The programme is designed to be challenging and throughout the year you will not only take on a work place role within a housing organisation, you will complete a Level 4 Chartered Institute of Housing (the professional body for housing) qualification, and participate in GEMshacks across the UK. We have GEMs working across England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Canada, which provides a unique insight into how social housing works in different environments.
We are an Accredited Centre and a formal partner with the Chartered Institute of Housing. Our partnership ensures that you are given CIH membership and access to unique opportunities which will further their development. http://www.cih.org/
